This blog contains some of the websites and Youtube channels I like to read/watch to keep myself updated of the fast-changing world. I do realize I don’t read as many websites as I watch Youtube channels. One reason is that I haven’t found many interesting sites to stop by. I hope I could add more websites to this list, because I simply like reading articles more than watching videos.
- Wait but why link
An interesting blogger who talks about many things in great details. Some exemplar topics includes space travel, evolution, and personal lifestyle. - Second thought link
A Youtube channel that talks about science, and occasionally, our society. - The verge website Youtube
A well known company in the tech world. I like their reviews on the latest and hottest electronics. I personally think they are relatively objective, especially compared with many other (famous) Youtubers. - Joe Scott Youtube
A cool guy talking about everything interesting, from science/technology to culture/literature. - Kurzgesagt Youtube
Also known as the “in a nutshell”. High-quality cartoon channel of science. DW news link
Being located in Europe right now, I want to stay informed of the important things happening near me. This channel speaks English, and covers a lot of stories.
Unfortunately, DW news started to join the media companies that fuel the anti-Asian trend during this difficult virus-caused situation. It may be just a strategy to attract more viewers for DW news, but it threatens the safety of Asian people living in foreign countries. People will (actually have) get hurt and even killed in the resultant hated crimes. So I stops using DW news from now on.
